Dean is an American 2017 independent movie. It is directed and written by Demetri Martin and produced by Honora Productions. The movie stars Gillian Jacobs, Demetri Martin, and Kevin Kline. The movie was released on June 2, 2017. Martin plays thesmall character, Dean, who is a revealed cartoon artisan that draws in a easy style with perceived pen and Bristol board. The drawings in the movie are done by Martin.

Demetri Martin stars side by side Academy Award conqueror Kevin Kline in this comedic and earnest tale about a dad and son coming to terms with love, loss and everything in among. Dean (Martin) is an illustrator whose reluctance to deal with the current death of his mom means escaping his home city of New York for an meeting with an ad agency in Los Angeles. His retired engineer dad Robert (Kline) receive a more regimented refuge to grief, including placing the household home up for sale. Both dad and son set out on their own paths to discover a new normal as unanticipated circumstances and possibility new love interests browbeat to thwart all plans.
