Annihilation is an upcoming British-American science fiction thriller film has an awesome movie trailer. It was directed and written by Alex Garland, based on the best selling haunting novel by Jeff VanderMeer.  Its cast stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Gina Rodriguez, Sonoya Mizuno, Oscar Isaac, Tuva Novotny and Cosmo Jarvis. The film will be released on February 23, 2018, by Paramount Pictures.

Natalie Portman puts her name forward for an expedition into an environmental disaster zone. The expedition team is made up of an anthropologist, a  biologist, a psychologist, and a surveyor. It is a segment of land in the United States that has been covertly quarantined due to abnormal activity. They are the 12th expedition sent into Area X on behalf of the mystical Southern Reach organization. The third in a hail of gunfire as the members turned on one another and the 11th expedition come back as shells of their former selves, all dying of cancer shortly after returning.

It's a story about where the laws of nature have been somehow arched and things go wrong for every scientist group who attempt to research it. Annihilation is the story of some expeditions, one that goes wrong in a mind-boggling way.
