With a fanny
and fantastic movie trailer, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (English name is Toilet - A
Love Story) is an upcoming Hindi-language film. The movie was directed by Shree
Narayan Singh and written by Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal, the writers of
the 2013 Hindi film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. Co-produced by Akshay Kumar
and Neeraj Pandey, the film will star Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the
lead roles, with Anupam Kher and Sana Khan in supporting roles. The film is
shares some similarities with a true event in which 19-year old Priyanka Bharti
fled her husband's home in 2012, when there was no toilet. The movie is scheduled
to be released on 11 August 2017, by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
The movie is
a satirical comedy movie in support of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a governmental campaign to improve the sanitation
conditions in India. with emphasis on the eradication of open defecation in
public areas, especially in the rural areas of India. In the trailer this move
tell us a story a woman leaves her husband on the first day of their marriage
after discovering that he doesn't have a toilet. When his wife left him then he
desperately sets out on a mission to win back his love by standing up to the
age-old traditions and values of India.
