Polina (French name is Polina, danser sa vie) is a French drama film and has a lovely movie trailer. It is written by Valérie Müller, Bastien Vivès and directed by Valérie Müller and Angelin Preljocaj, based on the graphic novel Polina by Bastien Vivès. Its cast stars Anastasia Shevtsova, Veronika Zhovnytska, Aleksey Guskov, Miglen Mirtchev, Niels Schneider, Juliette Binoche, Jeremie Belingard and Kseniya Kutepova. It is scheduled will be released in the United States on August 25th, 2017, by Oscilloscope Laboratories.




The movie is a young Russian dancer who is training under a formidable ballet teacher. She is admitted to the Bolshoi Ballet.  She drops out of the prestigious Moscow company and being moved to tears by the performance of a modern dance work.



Polina is a promising classical ballet dancer. She joins the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet when she discovers contemporary dance. That a revelation throws everything into question on a profound level. She moves to France to work with famous choreographer Liria Elsa. But once there she is quickly forced to grapple with the realization that determination and hard work don't always lead to success.
