He backs as govt. hit-men, Frank Lerner wakes up to discover himself in a completely automated govt. prison. Howard, his LSO provides food, drink and basic needs to keep Frank alive. Frank, through severe mind questioning is forced to relive the same day over and over until proof is accepted of the crime he is charged with committing. As war erupts and the outside world falls under attack. Frank discovers himself cut off and trapped with a computer system that slowly begins to malfunction. He must venture into his own memory through the questioning program in command, to get back to the woman he loves and the outside planet that may already be gone.
