It was a time not so far away when I regularly colored my hair.
One day I pushed myself to the foot of the wall and I realized that tending as much as possible towards a greener life AND paying for a color not too green appeared to me a little paradoxical.
So I stopped my quarterly ritual and at about the same time, my postpartum hair loss started. No report, except that, as I had little or no products to care for my hair, and since I had already quite purified my cupboard, I tried to make a small quick care, Natural and effective to make shine my "new mane". So I turned to the plants, you guessed it, and apple cider vinegar (VCP).
Apple cider vinegar, this great ally
The VCP has a thousand virtues! It is a real asset of our cabinet bouffe-medicine considering its side "multi-use" (ex: roast vinegar, cider fire, no poo ). It's great all-in-one when you're busy and/or just when you do not want to get bogged down with forty products that you end up wasting sooner or later because they perish before you even Had the time to finish the bottles. So, whether it is for its antiseptic, antibacterial properties or its impressive ability to calm violent heartburn (for example in late pregnancy - super efficient!), It is, as I As we said above, as much food to consume as an ally to overcome our little everyday ills. I use it here for its ability to shine hair (by closing the hair follicles) when applied in "rinse" after the shampoo / revitalizing and tralala step. Do not worry, the vinegar smell fades and leaves your hair full of shining stars, shiny and bright (I hardly exaggerate!).
Hair treatment without rinsing plants
You will need to ...
- Apple cider vinegar not pasteurized and organic preferably
- Dried horsetail (full of silica fortifying for hair!)
- Dried nettles * (accentuates the darker reflections, promotes the growth of the hair while fortifying them, antidandruff)
- Chamomile dried * (accentuates paler reflections)
- 1 liter Mason pot
- Bottle-type glass spray bottle
* Note: For my recipe, I wanted both to play with darker and lighter reflections, but you can very well only put nettle or chamomile according to the color of your hair. Horsetail will have no role to play with reflections, but will have an impact on the health of the hair, so, I suggest you use it no matter the color!
Path to follow
Fill three-quarters of your Mason pot with herbs in equal parts. Then pour the VCP so as to cover the herbs with about 1 inch of liquid.
Seal the container and shake vigorously so that the plants are soaked in the VCP.
During the first few days, add VCP as needed: the plants will "drink" the vinegar and expand by rehydrating. We just want the VCP to exceed our plant mixture by about 1 inch at all times.
Let macerate a good 4 weeks in the sun (or in the shade, according to your school of thought concerning the making of macerates!).
use
- Spray on your wet hair just out of the shower!
Bin, that's no more complicated than having silky hair AND granos!
Thank you
