Dunkirk is undoubtedly one of the cinematographic events of 2017. The filmmaker called on  Tom Hardy,  Cillian Murphy or  Kenneth Branagh to trace the evacuation of troops from the beach of the North of France in May 1940.

Between 26 May and 4 June 1940, the beaches of Dunkirk were ravaged by the ongoing war. Coming from Belgium, England, Canada, and France, Allied soldiers find themselves caught in the fire of German forces.

After the infinity of the cosmos with Interstellar, Christopher Nolan chose to film the famous catastrophic and bloody evacuation of the allied troops of Dunkerque. 400 000 soldiers Are found trapping on the ground, in the air, and on the sea. This fresco warrior looks spectacular and immersive. Nolan wanted to plunge the viewer into the heart of the action. Here is the trailer


This battle marked the story, and it had already been brought to the screen. Notably in a telefilm also entitled  Dunkirk. Broadcast in 2004 on the BBC Two, in three parts, he is about to come out on DVD in England, to benefit precisely from the expectation generated by the feature film of Nolan. The channel is proposing a trailer to the effect that this edition will go on sale from July 10, just a few days before the cinema release of  "the other"  Dunkerque. Dunkirk in three parts is carried by  Benedict Cumberbatch and  Simon Russell Beale, and it is  Timothy Dalton who is in charge of the narration.
