The Dark Tower directed by Nikolaj Arcel, the film brings together the first three volumes of Stephen King's saga. 

The writer even intervened in its realization. This ensures us a quality film, a terrifying universe, and a well-treated and respected story. The author seems very satisfied with his first pictures. "The Dark Tower," tells the story of a young boy, Jake Chambers ( Tom Taylor )  who, after having nightmares, discovers by chance a world parallel to his where violence reigns supreme. To save his society and the other world of hell, he allies himself with the protector of this other universe, The pistolero Roland (Idris Elba). They are both engaged in a race against rising during which they will meet many opponents including the formidable Black Man (Matthew McConaughey), an all-powerful sorcerer who, aided by supernatural forces, will do everything to prevent them from accomplishing their mission.

Having had trouble seeing the day, the film took 10 years to get out of the shadows. Indeed, the project has several times fallen into the water because no studio wanted to put a large sum for its realization. Finally, with a budget of 60 million dollars, Sony Pictures Studios took over the project. Thanks to them, we will be able to discover the famous work of Stephen King in the cinema.
